TEST: Sony A7R II is Sony’s new weapon in the hunt for the really detailed images. 42.4 megapixels is really high resolution. You can also shoot in 4 k and that all this is tucked in a convenient format makes this an exciting camera.
A7r II is the first camera receiving a backlit sensor in this size and with this resolution. It helps to improve image quality in low light and therefore has Sony chosen to raise the ISO-level up to 102400 ISO for still images. Do you film one must settle for 25600.
The film can do in 4 k, which of course makes the camera interesting for many. Small with something great
When Sony A7 first came out so talking a lot about how small it was, and still had a full frame sensor. The size is something that got several to be lured to Sony’s full-frame cameras. The other side of the coin
The many innovations of the A7R II seems to affect the battery life adversely. During the test, I saw that the camera was on a charge faster than other cameras in the same class. A7r II is a major upgrade to its predecessor. The resolution is lifting a few notch and the autofocus is better. Above all, the ability to use other lenses than Sony’s own with an adapter is a nice feature for photographers who currently use other brands.
It’s hard not to be impressed by all the capacity that the Sony manages to put in such a small format as A7R II actually is. High resolution stills, effective image stabilization and 4 k filming is impressive features regardless of the format of the camera.
The camera should primarily attract wildlife photographers and landscape photographers who work far from the convenient road network, where every ounce is important to save. But even city Studio photographer has a lot to get here because the resolution and picture quality is so good.
