The unspoiled nature of Serbia is particularly attractive and diverse. Our hikes lead through the dense forests of the Tara National Park, to the Zlatibor Mountains and into deep gorges. The views of the canyon of the emerald green river Uvac with its numerous bends are impressive. With a bit of luck you will see griffon vultures circling as one of the largest populations of this giant bird lives here. New perspectives open up to us on a cruise on the Danube to pass the Iron Gate.

1st day:

Arrival to Belgrade

Flight to Belgrade and transfer to the city center. After a short break we take a two-hour stroll through the city center with a visit to the most important sights such as the Temple of Saint Savas, the second largest Orthodox church in the world, Kalemegdan and Belgrade fortress with the winner- Monument overlooking the Belgrade rivers, Knez Mihajlova, the pedestrian and commercial street, Republic Square. Afterwards we enjoy our dinner with live music in the bohemian district of Skadarlija.

2nd day:

Belgrade – Divcibare – Zlatibor

After our first breakfast we go on an easy hike up the Maljen Mountains to the Divčibare plateau. The mountains are located 110 kilometers from Belgrade at an altitude of around 1,000 meters. Because of the mild and pleasant climate, this nature reserve is considered a climatic health resort. After a short rest on the summit, our hike takes us to a village where we have lunch with traditional dishes.

3rd day:

Zlatibor – “Golden Pine”

The Zlatibor Mountains are one of the most visited Serbian mountain landscapes, with extensive wave-like plateaus. The highest point is Tronik (1,496 m). The Zlatibor Mountains are broken by serpentine paths and rich in meadows, pastures and forests. Today’s hike takes us to the Čigota peak. We visit the Stopic Cave with its unique karst formations, then we go to the village of Sirogojno. We take our lunch in a traditional restaurant.

4th day:

Zlatibor – Tara National Park

The Tara National Park is known for its autochthonous coniferous forests, which make it the most forested mountain range in Serbia.
Today an easy hike awaits us with a visit to the most beautiful viewpoints on the Drina Canyon. We have lunch in a restaurant on the Drina. In the afternoon we go to Drvengrad (“wooden town” / coastal village) – an authentic village on the Mećavnik, built according to the idea of ​​the famous film director Emir Kusturica. In the evening we drive back to the hotel.

5th day:

Zlatibor – Uvac Canyon – Kloser Mileseva

After breakfast we drive to Uvac Canyon, a special nature reserve known as the location of the griffon vulture. We take a boat trip on Lake Uvac and visit the ice caves. Our hike continues to the Molitva lookout point.
For lunch we are expected at the camp by the lake with traditional specialties from this area.
In the afternoon, on the way back to Zlatibor, we see the Mileševa monastery, from the 13th century. The monastery is known for its impressive frescoes.

6th day:

Ovcar – Kablar Gorge

Today we go into the Kablar Gorge, our hike leads us to the summit, there we have a view of the meanders of the West Morava River. The gorge is located between the towns of Čačak and Požega and is known for its steep, high limestone slopes with some caves. It is located between the Ovčar mountain in the south (985 m) and the Kablar in the north (889 m). It is a nature reserve with 150 species of birds, 30 species of fish and more than 600 species of plants. In the gorge there is the spa town of Ovčar and ten monasteries. After visiting a medieval monastery, we will continue our journey to Easter Serbia.

7th day:

Homolje Mountains

Today we go on a hiking tour in the Homolje Mountains, which are a real eco-oasis with numerous water mills, interesting caves, myths and traditions. After lunch we will visit the 14th century Ravanica Monastery.

8th day:

Rtanj – Temet wine cellar

The Rtanj Mountains are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Serbia. A huge, three-sided pyramid of almost regular shape gives Rtanj its unique character. A fantastic view of the surrounding mountains extends from the top of Šiljak.
Today’s hike is a little more demanding and takes us to the summit of Šiljak, where we take our lunch break. For those who want an easier hike, there is a transfer to Sokobanja, a health resort known for its thermal springs. Here we can also take an easy tour of the Ozren. On the way back to Sisevac, both groups meet again. At the end of the day we expect a tour of the Temet wine cellar with a small tasting.

Day 9:

Derdap National Park

Today we will see the famous Iron Gate and the landscape of the national park with dense forests of the Danube. The Iron Gate can boast a wealth of historical and cultural sites and one of the oldest civilizations in prehistory, here is the longest and deepest canyon in Europe, it stretches for about 100 km.
We experience a cruise through the most attractive part of the Iron Gate.
During the cruise, which lasts 90 minutes, we will go through the Big and Small Boilers and see the Mraconia Monastery, the Marine Hajdučka vodenica, the statue of Decebalus and the Traian’s plaque.

10th day:

Home trip

After breakfast we leave our hotel in Belgrade and start our journey home, transfer to Belgrade airport.
